The world of maintenance in FETEC

The decision of the transfer of FETEC 2009 in the large and European standard exhibition center was made in the frame of a plan for additional upgrade followed by the expansion of the subjects & important parallel events as well as the extension of its reach all over and beyond the country. 
In parallel with the FETEC 2009 exhibition, the Hellenic Maintenance Society organizes on Saturday the 7th of November a workshop with the subject of “E-learning in maintenance”.
The workshop refers to the integrated tool of online education developed after a 2 years effort by the European Project “learn2main”(http://www.ilearn2main.eu/).
The chapters of training & skills refer to the following modules:

• The roles of maintenance in designing, supply and operation of the technical equipment.
• Acts of prevention and inspection techniques.
• Techniques and methods of damage repair.
• Targets, strategies and maintenance results
• Performance analysis of technical equipment
• Remote Control
• Condition monitoring
• Key Performance indicators
• Information Systems
• Basic concepts and terms of maintenance

In the first part of workshop the learning tool will be presented as well as the basic principles of Maintenance Management. In the second part,  the participants divided into groups, will have the opportunity with the use of a computer to gain a direct contact with the e-learning tool and will realize audits of self –evaluation of their knowledge, also they will draw material and will attend classes of their interest.

The event expected to attract a big audience from businessmen, technical directors and executives of companies from the whole range of industrial construction, the production procedure and the industrial equipment.
The event will be realized with the cooperation of the Cultural & Educational Technology Institute of the Research & Innovation Center “Athena” and Atlantis Engineering, while T Expo will be the communication sponsor.
